little things monday
i'm in the mood for a stream of consciousness one, no planning, just typing.
it's a monday, january is almost half gone. time is really speeding up with age, right? it's not just me?anyway, work was ok i guess, despite me having very little to do at the moment and that's more annoying sometimes than being busy enough to make the day pass. a lot of people called in sick, so it was quiet and i didn't take my usual walk during lunch break, instead i stayed in and played uno with some colleagues (they play uno obsessively).
it's been years since berlin was covered in snow for more than a day or two, which is a shame because it's really helping the winters here. the usual grey, wet, dark sky is reflected in the blanket of snow and everything looks more clean, light and soft. and even though it snowed again when i left the office, every part of the commute went smoothly, no delays (!). i walked through the fresh snow and listened to boy harsher's the runner, which made me feel like i was in the thing (1982).

i made some nice lazy dinner, a bunch of potatoes, beets, onion and celiac roasted in the oven with hummus and, as a treat, a sort of vegan chicken-flavored nugget. really recommend some roasted veggies with hummus if you don't want to cook.
there are a lot of birthdays this month in my family, so i will draw something for my sister now. she befriended a crow last year by consistently throwing peanuts out of the window and asked me to commemorate this with an artwork.
that's all for this evening. i hope you all have a great week ahead of you!

Roasted vegetables are so good…
